This is the ground on which I stand,
the matter I know well:
the circle as the point of departure
after which the square.
From it follows the triangle;
the rectangle is its stop.
last is the trapezoid
and the paralellogram.
It is the motion of the light
seen and recorded.
Thus the shapes are formed,
time aids and cuts them sharp.
I say the shapes now
I count them one by one:
circle
square
triangle
rectangle
trapezium
paralellogram.
They are displayed, the line is long:
it stretches itself before my feet
and is flipped above me too.
Those are the elements that will soon,
a second time,
be lit up by the light.
